"Here's a beautiful introduction to the grenache grape in the Chateauneuf area, even if it has to carry the humble Cotes du Rhone appellation. Wonderful aromas of summer flowers and ripe red fruit that deftly fill out the full-bodied palate. Remarkably fine tannins for this appellation, and together with the licorice and sandalwood notes they give the lingering finish a lot of personality. Drink or hold."
