Bajel Pirata
The historic wine-producing district of Alicante is one of Spain’s chief heartlands for Monastrell vines– many of them venerably old and trained en vaso, or as bushvines. While the area is traditionally known for sweet, oxidative wines, Bajel Pirata is a perfect encapsulation of the modern side of its sunny Mediterranean essence: pure, fresh, juicy unoaked Monastrell from old vines that thrive in the hot, dry conditions. An incredible value!
