Earlier this month, we welcomed three benchmark producers from northern Italy to showcase both current and library release expressions of their estate Nebbiolo: Claudia Cigliuti of Cigliuti in Barbaresco, Isabella Pelizzatti Perego of ARPEPE in Valtellina, and Chiara Boschis of E. Pira & Figli in Barolo.
We poured close to 150 bottlings of Italy’s “Brilliant B’s,” with a focus on Brunello, Barolo, and Barbaresco, along with a preview of the newest estates to the Italian portfolio from Friuli, Chianti Classico, and an upcoming release of Lambrusco from Emilia-Romagna.
