"The 2022 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard is medium to deep ruby in the glass. It opens slowly but steadily with multifaceted aromas of peach skin, dried red berries, dark spices, wafts of cooling botanicals and a lifted, vibrant floral perfume. The full-bodied palate is suave, concentrated and polished, hiding rustic but gentle tannins and seamless, mineral-tinged acidity with its long, perfumed finish. As with much of the 2022 Turley Zinfandels, this should unwind and come into itself after 3-5 years in bottle and provide more than a decade of enjoyment in the cellar."

"The 2022 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard is a rich, heady wine. Dark fruit, leather, tobacco, dried herbs and cured meats are all dialed up. Ample and resonant, with tons of brooding power, the 2022 shows off the more virile side of Zinfandel to great effect."

"Deep ruby in colour. Warmth evident on the nose. Deep flavours – roasted chestnut, clove and cedar. The wood on this is more evident, though the amount is not abnormal in the portfolio. Earthy finish. (SCJ)"

"Broad-shouldered and potent, with deep black cherry and guava flavors that are jammed with cracked pepper and savory briar patch notes, finishing with muscular tannins. Hands off for now. Best from 2025 through 2032. 1,000 cases made.—Tim Fish"
