If Domprobst stands all ten-HUT then Wehlen ripples and flows. I can’t say exactly why I find the flavors to be “blue,” but this wine is exactly what I mean.

"Incredibly intense on the nose, which is reminiscent of perfectly ripe and sweet Riesling berries that also include some percentage of botrytis, the finely flinty-scented 2022 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese is fascinating from the very first moment on. Mouth-filling and savory fresh in its mineral acidity and structure, this is a dense and persistently crunchy and rocky terroir Spätlese with remarkable complexity and aging capacities. The fruit was sourced in the lower GG parcel and is based on perfectly ripe fruit with some percentage of overripe berries. Only a small fuder was bottled in April this year. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023."
