"Coming from 45-year-old vines, the 2016 Champagne Grand Cru Avize Blanc De Blancs Voie D'Oger Extra Brut is focused on the nose, with more nuance and refinement to its notes of pastry dough, fresh brioche, Meyer lemon, and baked apples. On the palate, it displays a good deal of power upfront but then tapers and feels more elegant, with a luxurious, pillowing mousse and a bit of chalky texture. It's mouthwatering and has more refinement but retains good elegance throughout. It might not be the longest-lived vintage, but it's going to age gracefully over the coming 12-15 years. Disgorged in July 2023."

"From an east-facing site in Avize, not far from Les Avisés, informed by the late-ripening season, the 2016 Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Voie d'Oger, disgorged in June 2024 with 1.6 grams per liter dosage, has turned out very well. Unfurling from the glass with notes of beeswax, lemon zest, fresh hazelnut and dried white flowers, it is medium-bodied and textural yet bright, with a more tightly knit and mineral personality than Monts Ferrés. Laden with racy acidity and with a powerful chalkiness, it concludes with a long, precise finish. It's the only wine of the estate vinified entirely in steel."
