"After producing a number of unfortified whites, they have produced their first single-vineyard wine, the 2023 Alba Balbaína. Grapes were selected from the plot called La Cruz del Husillo within Balbaína planted with 20-year-old Palomino vines on white albariza soils. It fermented in stainless steel with their selected yeasts and aged in tank with fine lees for four months. It's a personal project of winemaker Montse Molina, selecting grapes from Balbaína, looking for a gentle mouthfeel through working the lees in tank for six months. It has a rounder palate, gentler, more approachable, ideal for food. But it's not banal and finishes dry with some chalkiness. It's around 11.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.7. 64,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in June 2024."
