"Maraschino cherry liqueur doused with fennel, black licorice strap, hedgerow and sandalwood. The small portion of dried fruit imparts density, without overwhelming the sense of compression and freshness. This is an excellent, impactful wine of remarkable levity, despite the obvious weight. A long, sumptuous finish, not dissimilar to a heady Pinot. This is very persuasive and thoroughly impressive. The sort of Valpo, bright, crunchy and translucent, that I love to drink. Drink or hold."

"Decant this bright, expressive red to allow an up-front note of ashy smoke to better meld and underscore ripe, juicy cherry, dried raspberry, loamy earth, bay leaf and eucalyptus flavors. Reveals fine, yet taut and chalky, tannins on the spiced finish. Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta. Best from 2025 through 2030."
