"The 2020 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Poiega slowly opens in the glass, showing a dusty display of cloves, cinnamon and scant black cherries. This soothes with its round textures and vividly ripe wild berry fruits as juicy acidity adds lift and violet inner florals swirl throughout. It finishes crisp, with staining length, a subtle tug of fine tannins and a pleasantly bitter twang."

"A mix of violets and roses gives way to dusty dried cherry as the 2019 Valpolicella Superiore Classico Poiega opens in the glass. It's soft and supple on the palate, with sweet spices complementing ripe red fruits under an air of pretty inner florals. This leaves a tinge of lavender and clove to linger through the medium length and pleasantly fresh finale. While not the last note on depth, the 2019 is a highly pleasurable Valpolicella Superiore."
