Tasting Notes
The grapes for The Pinot Project Pinot Grigio are harvested from the prestigious growing region of Veneto, Italy. The clay and limestone soils and temperate climate are ideal for producing wines with great natural acidity. After the grapes are crushed and skins are removed, the grape must settles and temperature-controlled fermentation occurs in stainless steel. The wine is completely unoaked to maintain freshness.
This vintage has a light yellow and green hue with aromas of apple and zest. On the palate, there is a generous amount of lemon peel, grilled white peaches, and dried apricots. Quite zingy on the finish, lots of melon notes with a touch of lemongrass. This could easily be your go-to wine throughout the summer and fall.
