Tasting Notes
The Aceves Family of Arandas have been growing agave for six generations. Their single estate, 100% blue weber agave is grown at elevations over 7,000 feet in the “Golden Triangle” of Los Altos, the highland plateau of Jalisco. The piñas for the Reposado are mill-crushed and steamed for 24 hours before undergoing a 72-hour open-air fermentation. Finally, they are double distilled in a stainless-steel pot still with copper components and then rested for 9 months in ex-Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. A nose reminiscent of coconut, crème brûlée, and roasted bell peppers precedes a rich, bold palate of caramel, soft cream, baking spice, and vanilla. 40% ABV.
