- 100% Syrah
- Sourced from a parcel on the rolling hills outside of Malmesbury, rich, gravelly Koffieklip soils
- This exposed site is the earliest ripening of all of their Syrahs, and gives insight to the quality of the vintage ahead
- Hand harvested while the morning was still cool
- 100% whole cluster Syrah was foot crushed into open top 500L barrel, where hand punch downs took place to encourage natural and gentle extraction during the indigenous fermentation
- 4 weeks of maceration, then pressed to the same barrels that they were fermented in
- Aged for 12 months in 500L French oak barrels, 50% new, followed by another 10 months in 200L Foudre
- Bottled aged for 9 months prior to release
