"The 2012 Grüner Veltliner Steinterrassen was bottled in May 2023 after almost twelve years in a 6,500-liter barrel. Lovely smokiness gives this 11-year-old wine a most youthful swing on the nose. The palate, likewise, is vivid with freshness and youthful verve. If I did not know better, I would think this is a much more recent wine. The palate is vibrant and sprightly, alive with white pepper that pervades lemony Mirabelle flesh—slender and bright. This is a lovely, youthful marvel. What enduring freshness. What lovely acidity. What a wine. With lightness, freshness, acidity, vivacity and spice, it is a force of life, with a sheer, endless echo of lemon. (Bone-dry)"
