Single Still Rum - Enmore (EHP), Cask Strength
- Cask strength aged Demerara rum produced by Demerara Distillers Limited at Diamond Distillery, the last remaining distillery in Guyana
- Produced in accordance with the Demerara Rum Geographical Indication
- Distilled from molasses in the famed Enmore wooden Coffey still (EHP) from the former Enmore Estate
- Aged 12 years in ex-bourbon casks
- Toffee, milk chocolate, mint, and Amarena cherry on the nose lead to rich, smokey molasses, coffee, and cacao on the palate and a finish of plantain, oak tannin, and vanilla on the finish
- Bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% ABV
Though not quite as famous as DDL’s wooden pot stills, the Enmore still and its EHP marque identifiably contribute to nearly every one of El Dorado’s cask-aged expressions, truly providing the backbone for the entire range. First constructed at the Enmore Estate in 1880, this two-column Coffey still is built primarily from greenheart wood, an evergreen native to Guyana which is one of the densest, most durable woods in existence and the same wood used in DDL’s heritage wooden pot stills.
