- Peated Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by The GlenAllachie Distillery in Aberlour
- 100% malted barley peated with mainland peat from St. Fergus, one mile from the North Sea coast (final spirit PPM of 35)
- 160-hour fermentation in stainless steel washbacks
- Twice distilled in copper pot stills
- Aged 5 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels, American virgin oak casks, and ex-rye barrels
- White chocolate, mace, cedar, overripe banana, and oxidized lemon on the nose lead to piquant palate of orange peel, arugula, white pepper, and fresh figs with honey. A touch of saline on the finish underscores the pleasant peat throughout.
- No added coloring
- Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV
Representing Meikle Tòir’s “standard peated” spirit aged in varying American oak only, this classic expression showcases the mainland peat so meticulously chosen by the GlenAllachie team to create a benchmark peated Speyside single malt.

"Showing vigorous peat smoke up front, this is pleasantly nutty on the nose, with well-roasted spices, iodine, ozone, and butterscotch sauce. Not too sweet on the tongue; there are initial flavors of melon, pear, spiced apple, honey, chocolate brownie, and cinnamon, which are torn asunder by the dominant flavor of fresh ginger root, accompanied by vegetal notes and fresh oak, leaving a lingering finish of peat smoke and chocolate brownie."
