"The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Amphora hails 60% from Citrusdal Mountain at around 450 meters above sea level and 40% from their own estate. This was whole-bunch-pressed and settled overnight, then raised in amphora for eight months with SO2 only added before bottling. The 2023 has a light nose that needs a bit of coaxing, with touches of gravel commingling with peach skin and smoke. The palate is well balanced with a nutty, slightly granary-like entry, a keen thread of acidity and a brisk, saline finish. This is a fine follow-up to the 2022."

"The 2022 Amphora has a well-defined bouquet, quite Chenin-like in style, with touches of popcorn and sea spray coming through with time. The palate is taut on the entry and continues in the quasi-Chenin-like vein. There,s fine depth, orange rind and hints of grapefruit towards the cohesive finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-6 years."
