"The 2013 Salento Rosso Notarpanaro, a varietal Negroamaro, opens in the glass with a whiff of sour cherry and cedar shavings offset by flowery undergrowth. This is soothingly round and supple, with brisk acidity and slowly saturating mineral-laced red and black fruits. The 2013 is beautifully resolved, leaving behind just a hint of fine tannin as inner earth tones and nuances of tobacco fade."
