• Single barrel rye selected by the Skurnik Spirits Team and bottled exclusively for Skurnik by New Riff Distilling in Newport, Kentucky
• New Riff’s signature rye mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted rye, all non-GMO
• Open top, sour mash fermented for 3 days
• Twice distilled; the first run in a Vendome copper column still followed by distillation in a copper continuous doubler
• Cask #14559
• Aged a minimum 4 years in 53-gallon toasted and charred new oak barrels; distilled November 2018 and bottled May 2023
• Non-chill filtered; 57.05% ABV

It’s a smell that is burned into my brain: Gouda! We all have those sensory moments in life that brings you back to a certain time. This rye brings me back to my days working in a wine bar and building charcuterie boards. It’s a fun trip down memory lane and I want more. I love the palate here as well. The black tea is singing, while beautiful mint notes greet the mid-palate. The finish is long as those fatty cheese notes carry through.
