"This astonishing wine has gigantic flinty and citrusy complexity next to the deep stone fruit character. Incredible concentration for a non-GG dry German riesling. Everything fits beautifully on the full-bodied palate. Off-the-scale power and energy in the finish, but everything remains fine and precise. From organically grown grapes with Fair Choice certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap."

"The 2023 Hochheimer Stielweg Riesling Alte Reben VDP.Erste Lage is deep, pure, fresh and salty on the intense and charming nose. Round, intense and savory on the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense, tight, powerful and finely tannic Riesling with a dense, intense and sustainable finish. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024."

"The 2023 Riesling Hocheimer Stielweg Alte Reben Erste Lage is from deep soils of loess, loam and clay. It sprays with aroma on the nose—juicy honeydew melon meets peach and citrus zest. Overtones of fern add a lovely spicy note. The palate has generosity of fruit but much contour, defined by tingling, mouthwatering grapefruit zestiness. Everything here is supremely juicy. (Bone-dry)"

"The 2022 Riesling Hocheimer Stielweg Alte Reben Erste Lage is grown in deep soils of loess, loam and clay with some sand from vines between 60 and 62 years old, harvested from two parcels. The nose has an overtone of mango and lime, immediately suggesting ripeness. The palate abounds with bright citrus that seems to tame and frame the tropical notions. This is vivid and utterly juicy, with fruit and depth channeled into freshness. (Bone-dry)"
