Zinfandel made from grapes organically grown on California’s North Coast—produced with carbonic fermentation in the style of Beaujolais—provides the base for Rue de Rêve Rouge, a botanically complex apéritif reminiscent of Sangria with its pronounced baking spice, citrus, and juicy red-wine base. Try it over ice, mixed with soda, or use it in place of sweet vermouth in a Negroni for a decidedly lighter, brighter cocktail.
