"A smoky and ambitious wine, like a baby Brunello. It shows aromas of smoke, woodland, fresh violets, dried cherries and licorice. Firm, chewy tannins on the palate, with crisp acidity and a medium to full body. Warming yet balanced at the end. Drink or hold."

"Medium ruby-colored, the 2023 Rosso Di Montalcino is fresh with aromas of ripe strawberries, fresh berries, dusty earth, and orange peel. It's zesty and refreshing on the palate, with fine tannins and a clean, elegant feel throughout. It is approachable now and will drink well over the next 6-8 years."

"A gorgeous translucent ruby color, the 2022 Rosso di Montalcino is dark and more intense than most wines in its category. It opens with masses of dried black cherry, smoke traces, grilled herbs and dusty violets. It's creamy in texture yet lifted and refined with a pure core of ripe strawberry complemented by cloves. Rosy inner florals dance throughout. Complex yet giving, the 2022 tapers off potent and long with a tug of fine tannins and autumnal spices. This is a Rosso? My guess is baby Brunello. Bravo."

"From vineyards in both Castelnuovo dell'Abate and Sant'Angelo in Colle, the 2022 Rosso from has alluring aromas of violet, camphor and dark spice. Fermented spontaneously and aged in both French and Slavonian casks, the full-bodied, polished palate offers ripe Morello cherry, blood orange, coffee bean and star anise framed in chalky tannins. Drink through 2027. Abv: 14.5%"

"Medium red/garnet in color, the 2022 Rosso Di Montalcino is ripe with notes of baked strawberries, mixed berries, crushed flowers, and sweet Mediterranean herbs. Medium-bodied, it has a chalky texture with a sunny feel, although it would seem it's well done for the vintage and is best enjoyed over the next couple of years."

"Dusty, floral and impossible to ignore, the 2021 Rosso di Montalcino lifts from the glass with a gorgeous bouquet of rose petals, dried cherries and autumnal spice. Silky yet pure and lifted, it flows across the palate with a tactile blend of red wild berries and minerals. The 2021 takes on a saline tinge while finishing long and staining, leaving a coating of fine tannins that promise many years of positive evolution. This is a massive success for the vintage."
