"The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino wafts up with a perfumed mix of violets, lavender and cinnamon-dusted cherries. This flows effortlessly across the palate with polished ripe red fruits and sweet inner spices. There's nothing out of place in this silky beauty. It is balanced by zesty acidity through the lightly structured and characterful finale, showcasing hard red candies nuances mixed with worn leather and a pleasant inner sweetness that lingers. I'd drink this any night of the week."

"A fluid red marked by intense aromas and flavors of graphite, cherry, raspberry, eucalyptus and wild herbs. Balanced and lively, with a lingering, harmonious finish. Drink now through 2027. "

"Black olive and tree bark, chestnut and iron, fragrantly earthy and red-fruited – there's a pleasing hauteur to this Rosso which does not condescend to sweetness of fruit for its impact. It has the real stamp of Montalcino terroir. With its assertive tannins and crisp, lively acidity, it could benefit from another year in bottle before broaching, and will drink well for a decade. Lisini's Rosso undergoes the same long maceration of up to a month as the Brunello, and it ages for 12 months in large Slavonian casks."

"The 2022 Rosso di Montalcino is impossible to ignore. It is vividly fruit-forward, with masses of crushed blackberry and cherry complemented by autumnal spice. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and crisp acidity, casting mineral-laced wild berry fruits across the palate. While gently tannic, the 2022 remains fresh, ending with licorice notes and a spicy sensation."

"Dark ruby/magenta, the 2021 Rosso Di Montalcino needs some air to open and is highly aromatic with notes of black raspberries, candied violets, and sweet balsamic herbs. Juicy and primary, it has good freshness and is a quaffable red that retains good freshness and a rounded mouthfeel with fine tannins. A crowd-pleaser of a wine with loads of versatility, it's a great introduction to Sangiovese to have over the next 3-4 years."

"The 2021 Rosso di Montalcino opens with an herbal tinge that quickly blows off to reveal a blend of woodland berries, crushed rocks and sweet smoke. This is remarkably fresh and energetic, with masses of ripe, mineral-inflected red fruits and spice propelled by zesty acidity. It finishes staining and long, leaving a bitter tinge, all refreshed by a bump of residual acidity."
