"A beguiling blend of crushed black cherries, sage, tobacco, mocha and sweet smoke wafts up from the 2019 Conero Riserva Sassi Neri. This is polished and elegant with velvety textures and ripe red berry fruits that flow across a cooling stream of lively acidity. Nothing is out of place as this finishes long and classically structured, leaving a pleasantly bitter licorice tinge and violet inner florals that resonate on and on. The 2019 continues to be one of the most balanced and complex renditions of Sassi Neri. What an utterly gorgeous wine."
