Ried Hollerin:
Where the Kellerberg runs out in the plain, the Hollerin begins. In its upper part, it is strongly influenced by the neighboring location, the soil being more profound and the gneiss less evident. This wine comes from vines located in the top third, where the clay is even shallower and the rock is even more striking. The wines from the Hollerin often open earlier and give in addition to mineral notes again and again intense Steinobstaromen.

"The 2023 Riesling Hollerin Smaragd is from a southwest-facing site of weathered gneiss with some loam. A touch of peach plays into soft citrus notions. This is a gentler but aromatic take on Riesling, yet with that lovely Alzinger tension. Stoniness and stone fruit speak at equal volume and result in harmony, yet always with that citrus cut. Beautiful, understated and bright. (Bone-dry)"
