"Tasted blind. A wine of concentration and great aromatic depth. Menthol, spice, vanilla, ripe plums and blueberries. Very complex and multilayered. Powerful on the palate, with lots of tannins that are silky and gentle. Incredible how they can manage such powerful and marked fruit. High alcohol, but very well embraced by the fruit. The fruit must have been concentrated, small and black as buckshot. A great wine, made to impress and with a remarkable future ahead. Anguix shines again in this wine. (FC)"

"The 2020 Astrales is 100% Tempranillo from Anguix in Ribera del Duero and was aged for 18 months in 80% French and 20% American barrels. The winemaker, José Hidalgo, reports that 2020 was a textbook vintage in the area. Purple in hue. The nose offers bloody and herbal aromas along with mint, thyme and blackberry. Dry and muscular, the structured palate and nimble flow lend depth and intensity to this alluring, long-lasting red."
