"The 2021 A Boca do Demo shows a combination of floral notes with earthy hints and a nose that combines some herbal and ripe notes. It comes mostly from slate soils with a small part of granite. They try to harvest early and do short macerations in a 1,000-liter oak foudre. The nose feels fresher than what the palate points at, and there are some earthy tannins. It's usually my favorite wine, but it did not have a great showing this time. 1,300 bottles produced."
