Fermented with100% whole bunches, like all Xurxo Alba's tintos, this has intriguing flavours of redcurrant,fresh blood and beetroot, and top notes of sage and incense. "There is an herbal and balsamic quality in the reds here that seems milder in the warm and ripe 2022 vintage. The 2022 O Esteiro Espadeiro has a perfumed nose and a very austere palate, and it has only 10.5% alcohol and seems to lack a little bit of fat. It is sharp and light, a bit thin. It was bottled in April 2024."
