"The 2021 Triptyque Silex is an old-vine, oak-aged Sauvignon. While this is ripe aromatically, there's a sense of strict tension from both the vintage and the flint components of this terroir, giving a sense of travel. There's plentiful concentration from the 80-year-old vines and low yields, with flavors reminiscent of peach, honey, chamomile and lemon tea. The combination of Sauvignon with oak also adds a cornichon-like note."
