"The 2022 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is scented of cranberry sauce, bitter orange, Angostura bitters and tea leaves with earthy undertones. The medium-bodied palate offers a concentrated core of nuanced fruit and vibrant acidity. It has a firm, somewhat rustic frame of tannins and a long, perfumed finish. It will pair well with heartier dishes."

"Proper, sappy, lively Pinot fruit that seems alive. Really fine and interesting. Sweet then savoury with very refined tannins. (JR) 13.5%"

"The 2023 Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills) is a total delight. Fresh, aromatic and very pretty, the 2023 is all class. Freshly cut flowers, red-toned fruit, orange peel, spice, mint and white pepper soar out of the glass. This deceptively medium-bodied Pinot is such a charmer. A dollop of stems (10%) adds perfume without dominating the wine's balance. This is an impressive showing for a wine that was bottled a month before this tasting."
