"The Peay West Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a true panoramic view of the estate's terroir and the vintage. Sourced mainly from Peay's estate blocks, with just 5% coming from the slightly warmer Richardson Vineyard next door, this is the winery's biggest-production Pinot - though at 1,500 cases, it's still far from mass-produced. The 2022 vintage is a wine with energy and depth, which is classic Peay, delivering a nose that balances delicate florals and bright red berries with a whisper of coastal salinity. The palate is full of tart red fruit like cranberries and pomegranate, with some citrusy mid-palate reminiscent of blood oranges and a pinch of spice for good measure. The structure is firm yet graceful, carrying everything through to a pleasant finish."

"Soft and delicate aromas of wild raspberries, cinnamon bark, pine needles, pencil shavings and potpourri. The palate is medium-bodied with finely integrated tannins and nervy acidity. Such great depth and structure, capturing the freshness and coolness of the vineyard. Drink or hold."

"The 2023 Pinot Noir (West Sonoma Coast) is brilliant. Bold, racy and punchy, with terrific energy, the 2023 is a delight. Red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint and orange peel are all front and center. Clean mineral notes frame the long, nuanced finish. Most of this fruit is from the Peay estate. This mid-weight Pinot has a lot to offer."

"The bright red 2022 Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast has lifted notes of alpine herbs, red berries, compact bright berries, bay leaf, and fresh roses. Medium-bodied, it offers a lovely amount of tension, with fantastic structure, a good amount of floral charm, and great potential for drinking over the next 7-8 years or more."

"The 2022 Pinot Noir (West Sonoma Coast) is deep, fleshy and seductive‡in other words, everything a wine at this level should be. Crushed red/purplish berry fruit, spice, mint, new leather and cedar give the 2022 tons of aromatic nuance and complexity. What a delight."

"The 2022 Pinot Noir West Sonoma Coast is scented of cranberry sauce, rhubarb, tangerine peel, earth and bitters. The light-bodied palate is silky and bright with crunchy, citrusy fruit and a long, spicy finish. It's easygoing and easy to drink!"
