Pinot Noir, ‘Mt. Carmel – Old Vines’, Sandhi
This wine comes from the original, own-rooted, 1971 plantings at Sanford & Benedict. Planted on silex and clay soils, this gently-sloping, north-facing vineyard reacts very differently each year.

Tasting NotesThe 2013 Sanford & Benedict offers a richness of ripe red fruits with cherry and plum leading the way. Fresh red rose petals and a touch of bergamot lead to notes of turned soil. On the palate, the wine’s complexity and purity of fruit is confirmed with an incredibly lengthy finish.
