"The 2021 Pinot Noir RH is from a warmer plot with a large loamy layer topping the Oxfordian limestone. From 21-year-old vines (massal selections) and aged in 225-liter barrels, this is a tight, tart and refreshing, more masculine Pinot with generous fruit yet no signs of roundness or charm. It's saline and salivating on the finish and driven by a fascinating composition of salts and tannins yet also juice. This is a long-distance runner to be aged for at least 4-5 years. 12% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in February 2024."
