• North/South oriented, allowing indirect sunlight to influence the even ripening of clusters

• Huichicha soils – rocky fertile ground with lots of exposed cobblestones
• Dijon clones 115, 114, 113 and starting in 2010: Reserve on rootstocsk 101-14 and 3309
• Fermented in 100% netural French oak
• 100% Malolactic fermentation
• Aged 10 months in 50% new French oak
• 345 cases produced

Back during prohibition the owners of this property used to run ‘shine on this ranch, in the existing barn. The owner used to sneak out in the middle of the night, while his wife slept to tend to the still. The wife got suspicious and thought it was another woman, so she hired a private detective. When the detective found out he was running ‘shine, had the owner arrested and thrown in jail. The barn still stands on the property today.
