"The 2022 Pinot Noir La Rinconada Vineyard is airy and lifted, with lovely balance to match its chiseled, mid-weight personality. Crushed rocks, mint, white pepper, anise and dried flowers are nicely delineated. The Rinconada offers good power and drive, but it is also a touch light, especially in the mid-palate."

"The 2022 Pinot Noir La Rinconada Vineyard is the brightest, most red-fruited of the Pinot Noirs, leading with a stony, lifted and fragrant nose of dried herbs, pomegranate and orange peels. The palate is silky and spry, with a deft plushness filling in the mid-palate, finishing with a dramatically sturdy, tense finish. Due to the compressed harvest, I find it a bit brighter than usual and without its typical low-end richness, but it is a beautiful expression nonetheless."
