"Lavender aromas make for a floral entry to the nose of this bottling, as black raspberry and cranberry elements bring the fruit. The palate snaps with tart cranberry flavors that are decorated in bergamot and black tea leaf touches, with a deep-seeded acidity ensuring a long life. Drink now-2039. — Matt Kettmann"

"The 2022 Pinot Noir Küstennebel is a blend of Drum Canyon and Sanford & Benedict. Dark and imposing, the 2022 is decidedly virile in bearing, its mid-weight structure notwithstanding. Black cherry, plum, licorice, leather, incense and tobacco add to that impression."

"Some Californian Pinots are more akin to Merlot in their weight and extraction, but this one is oh so elegant, its dark colour fooling you into thinking it might be heavy when the breezy floral perfume and bright red cherry and raspberry flavours are anything but. Sea breeze, crushed pebbles and a bergamot bite deliver great freshness and the tannins are firm but fine."
