"This has a pretty nose of strawberries, redbush tea and cherry stones. It's medium-bodied, bright and crunchy on the palate, with lightly chalky tannins. Drink now or in the next few years."

"Fresh and linear, the 2023 Pinot Nero also boasts personality, delivering sensations of red berry, rhubarb, white pepper and smoky mineral. It's already accessible, with supple tannins while bright acidity keep it balanced. Drink trough 2026. Abv: 13% Kerin O'Keefe October 2024"

"The polished, accessible 2022 Pinot Nero from Abbazia di Novacella is lovely, delivering ripe red berry, dried herb, star anise and smoky mineral notes. It closes on a hint of orange rind while lithe tannins provide seamless support. It offers incredible value for the quality. Drink through 2026. "

"A young and vibrant expression of the Burgundian grape, the Abbazia di Novacella 2021 Alto Adige Pinot Nero shows redcurrant, delicate rose, honey and candied violet. The wine's personality is fragile and light, with a very streamlined performance. The wine sees 15 days of skin contact in stainless steel followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in large oak casks. Fruit comes from vineyards in Appiano (from 350 to 420 meters in elevation) with reddish, fine-grained soils made with porphyry rock. "
