Lieserer Niederberg Helden:
Created by merging the previously separate Niederberg and Helden vineyards, this Grosse Lage vineyard is just east of the village of Lieser. With a steep slope and the typical soil type for this part of the Mosel, blue Devonian slate, Niederberg Helden is known as one of the top vineyards for producing both dry and noble sweet wines. A unique microclimate is formed here by the south facing slopes curving inward which helps to capture warmth.

"Here's a cool and seriously minerally riesling that some will find dry enough, but is analytically just off-dry. Terrific energy and vitality on the barely medium-bodied palate. Long and filigreed finish with plenty of slatey minerality. Just the third vintage of this wine. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold."

"The 2023 Riesling Lieserer Niederberg Helden feinherb offers a tender nose with just a hint of slate and lemon, very restrained. The palate is superbly fine, slender and linear, with 13 g/L of residual sweetness highlighting the creaminess of fresh, crunchy apple fruit in a serene manner. Vividly elegant and barely off-dry, this wine is rather seductive."
