The Huntress series is inspired by the Gaelic goddess Neachneohain, Nc’nean’s namesake and guiding star, who represents the ethos and innovation of the distillery’s ongoing pursuit of unique flavors in whisky making. This particular Huntress is incredibly unique in that it is a rare bottling of a spirit that is only produced once a year when the distillers cross over from one distillation recipe to another and cut points are changed, flooding the spirit with unusually high fruity compounds—so fruity that this release is named after one of the team’s favorite desserts.

"Nc'nean's two spirit runs mature at younger and older ages. This experimental whisky captures the switchover in recipes. Aromas of caraway seeds, rosemary, peppermint fondant cream, wild garlic, honey, and white pepper. The palate serves up apple pie, cherry tart, baked plum, Jaffa cake, lime, and gentle spices. It has good body, a creamy texture, and plenty of juicy fruits, with a dry finish of peppermint tea, summer berries, and candied peel."
