"The unusual, characterful rosé 2021 Dido La Solució Rosa feels reductive and flinty with the character from the year, which was accentuated with some of the varieties—they reckon the Cariñena, even if it's a very small part of the blend of Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Gris, Tempranillo, Macabeo and Cariñena. The old 4,600-liter oak foudre (over 50 years old!) used for this wine also adds to the character. In Montsant, the year seems to have marked the wines a lot. This year, the wine feels a lot more like a white wine; the red part comes out in warmer years, whereas cooler years deliver a more austere, elegant and sharp wine closer to a white. This wine matures incredibly in bottle; I've recently drunk some of the first vintages, and the wine is going very strong. 12,718 bottles were produced. It was bottled in March 2023."
