Tasting Notes
Vivid dark red color. Effusive aromatic intensity with a perfume that translates to the palate in notes of red cherry liqueur, black plum, sage, violet and peach blossom that both lift from the glass and linger on the finish. This wine is satin textured in the mouth with fine, integrated tannins. For all the plushness, the old mixed vines have maintained an incredibly bright acidity that both balances the wines texture and refreshes the palate. All neutral puncheons and barrels were used to age the wine, allowing the striking character of the site to take center stage.

"The 2021 Mixed Reds Peugh Vineyard (formerly called Mixed Blacks), is a blend of about 40% Zinfandel, plus Alicante Bouschet, Grenache, Malvasia Nera, Négrette, Palomino and a small amount of white varieties. The nose releases generous waves of red and black cherry and apricot accented by tones of bergamot and juniper. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with crunchy fruit. It has a chalky frame, mouthwatering acidity and a long, citrusy finish. This is dangerously easy to drink!"
