MITHRADATES is the second expression in the Forthave Spirits “historical” line, created to reimagine ancient medicinal recipes as digestivi. It is inspired by the elixir Mitrhidatum, a formulation attributed to Mithrdates VI and developed to aid immunity to a myriad of poisonous botanicals. The third vintage of this annually released wine-based amaro uses Noiret red wine from New York’s Finger Lakes region as its base and is aromatized with thirty-four botanicals. Because of its wine component, MITHRADATES should be refrigerated after opening.
