- Mezcal produced in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca
- Maestro Mezcalero Gonzalo Martinez Sernas
- Made from 100% Madrecuishe (Agave karwinskii) matured between 8–18 years
- Cooked in conical earthen pit oven using pine and mesquite wood
- Milled using traditional horse-drawn stone tahona
- Fermented in Encino oak vats (tinas) using proprietary well water
- Distilled twice using copper pot stills
- Rested 9 months in glass
- A rich, full nose of red fruit, dried herbs, orange peel, and damp stone precedes spectacular balance on the palate; soft cantaloupe melon early on with fresh thyme bolstered by lemon verbena, jasmine, and a delicate bitterness reminiscent of dandelion greens
- 48% ABV (ABV may vary batch to batch)
A classic example of the Madrecuishe maguey through the intensely specific lens of Mezcal Macurichos!

"Every sip of this Madrecuishe mezcal is deep and intense. The nose is robust, complex, and heady with notes of orange pith, grapefruit, and crayon wax. The palate manages to balance floral notes, fruit, and smoke with a precise minerality — all of which seems to evolve as it sits on the palate. It's an interesting sip, thanks to the eight to 18 year old agave used to produce this bottle."
