Lieserer Niederberg Helden:
Created by merging the previously separate Niederberg and Helden vineyards, this Grosse Lage vineyard is just east of the village of Lieser. With a steep slope and the typical soil type for this part of the Mosel, blue Devonian slate, Niederberg Helden is known as one of the top vineyards for producing both dry and noble sweet wines. A unique microclimate is formed here by the south facing slopes curving inward which helps to capture warmth.

"Apricots! Almost apricot jam. Very different from the previous two wines. Incipient complexity, as well as all that lovely fruit. Rounded but extremely fresh on the finish. (JH)"

"The 2023 Riesling Lieserer Niederberg Helden Grosses Gewächs is exquisitely subtle on the nose, with a slightly smoky evocation of wet slate. The smooth palate is wonderfully stony, putting its slatiness deliciously ahead of fruit and is beautifully linear with ripe, straight-laced acidity. This totally clean-cut wine rings long with its slate savor."
