- Hand harvested fruit grown on mostly calcareous clay soils with some sandy patches in vineyards surrounding Canale – the capital of Roero
- Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks and finishes in oak barrels (450 L French oak) where the wine is aged for one year
- Final blend is produced after aging
- Can age for up to 15-20 years in bottle
- Average annual production is around 15,000 bottles
