In early the 19th century this was considered the best Riesling site because the grapes consistently reached greater maturity. In the early 20th century the wines were just as expensive as those from the top Rheingau growths.
Taste it backwards. Note the finish first, its absurd complexity. Then back up to the resinous salts on the palate, and the shoot-
smoke, and then note how reticent the aromas are. It’s very early days for this, and if past is prologue my appraisal will have
