"I must admit to buying this cuvee and drinking it with a giddy regularity. An everyday expression of aglianico that, nevertheless, ages with considerable aplomb over five years. The tattoo of dried tobacco, pithy cherry, herbal salumi and molten licorice on show. The finish, like licking volcanic rock flecked with clove, cardamon and spice. A bit more brood. The primi piatti, before the Taurasi show. Delicious wine. Drink or hold."

"Harmonious and refined, with light, supple tannins wrapped in a silky range of cassis and blackberry coulis fruit flavors, revealing aromatic hints of licorice, vanilla and sandalwood. Shows a savory base of iron, ground coffee and tobacco that pushes through and lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2030. "
