"Appealing, pretty, verdant notes give way to a juicy citrus centre. Less floral than the Kirchenstück, less textured than the Weiss Erd. Concentrated apricot and herbal nuance with a mouth-watering bitterness on the long, zesty finish. (PS)"

"The 2022 Riesling Hochheimer Hölle Grosses Gewächs, from calcareous clay, brings concentrated, luscious peach fruit to the nose, edged with equally juicy mandarin. The palate is brim-full of ripe, zesty orange, tangerine and yellow peach, all dripping with juice. This is beautifully rounded, fresh and fruity. It's an elegant GG that shows its site so clearly and with so much conviction. (Bone-dry)"

"The golden-yellow colored Riesling trocken 2022 Hochheim Hölle GG VDP.Grosse Lage opens with a deep, very intense and concentrated yet elegant and stimulating spicy/saline bouquet of perfectly ripe, partly tropical fruit aromas intermingled with saline terroir notes of this historic important vineyard on clayey marls. This moderately steep slope next to the Main River was obviously quite perfect for a dry and hot summer like that of 2022. The wine is rich and, in a moderate way, also powerful as well as very elegant and even refined on the palate that even gives purity, freshness and stimulating, mouth-watering salinity. This very complex and ageless Riesling classic is made to last for many years, perhaps even decades. This is a wine the Rheingau can be proud of. Highly recommended! Enjoy from a big glass! 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in September 2024."
