"The 2021 Riesling Hattenheimer Pfaffenberg Monopol Grosses Gewächs is the first GG made at the estate. The site joined the portfolio in 2021. Planted in 1981, it grows on deeper calcareous soils. Gentle peach is laced with lemon on the pure nose. The palate replicates this but lends a lovely textural notion of yellow-pink peach skin to proceedings, together with citrus zestiness, resulting in a juicy flow. The finish is downright lip-smacking. Vivid, long, beautifully mouth-coating zestiness is at work here, adding salty, citric verve. (Bone-dry)"

"Cool and classical, but also blessed with excellent ripeness, this is a very serious village wine. Ample concentration and a wonderful harmony. The Mirabelle plum fruit is delightful, and the fine tannins build beautifully in the long, complex and precise finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair Choice certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
