Ried Loiserberg:
Loiserberg is located next to the Vogelsang mountain, but the slope faces south to south-east and is somewhat more sheltered from the wind compared to the Vogelsang mountain. There are mountain vineyards up to 380m above sea level, windy and with temperature extremes. Apart from the loess deposits, which become stronger towards the south-east, and the occasional marble lenses, predominantly lime-free rocky brown earths form over silicate crystalline rocks such as paragneiss (Gföhler gneiss), mica schist and amphibolite (Loiserberg “zoisite-amphibolite”), which alternate narrowly.

"The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Loiserberg is from a cooler site on pure gneiss, exposed to cold air from the Weinviertel—a challenging site in dry years. It was primarily made in 2,500-liter used barrels and bottled in July, 2023. Very subtle yeast shows slight savoriness on the nose. The palate, creamy and redolent of hazelnut, is also slender and taut, going in for a slightly citric astringency that depicts this cool vineyard in a cooler year. Very light-on-its-feet, this is lacking a little in substance. (Bone-dry)"

"The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Loiserberg 1–TW is clear and fresh on the nose but buys this with green apple and citrus notes. It is firm, fresh and reductive on the palate but elegant and with a yeasty intensity. This is a restrained, rather greenish wine that needs time to gain complexity and color. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Grafenegg, September 2023."
