"The 2022 Grüner Veltliner Renner is grown on a layer of calcareous loess that lies on top of gneiss. This was whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, with just a little wood. The nose is rather shy, and the palate is understated, presenting a smooth flow, with beautiful Conference pear peel on the finish that adds just a little texture. Pepper tingles on the finish. (Bone-dry)"

"Hirsch's 2022 Grüner Veltliner Ried Renner 1–TW shows a pure, fine, cool, stony and quite aromatic nose but also still yeasty fruit with fine mineral spice in the background. Juicy on the palate, with textural substance and good, intense length and salt on the finish, this is an expressive Renner with good potential. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap."
